A Letter from Brian & Kaitlin

Thank you for taking a glimpse at who we are and for considering us as potential parents for your child. It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we enter into this journey with you. We have not been able to have children of our own yet our call to be parents has been strong. We look forward to years of love, learning, activities, and memories together as a family. We are committed to raising your child in a Christ-centered home that values all people and is filled with love and respect.

Brian & Kaitlin

Our Story

We were introduced through a mutual mentor 8 years ago. About a year later we spent a week counseling summer camp together and began to notice each other. What began as an appreciation of the other’s heart for helping and loving kids soon developed into something more. After many adventures, late night conversations and time together, Brian popped the question while we were on a snowy ATV ride. We have been married for almost 6 years and love spending time together; going on road trips, attending sports games, and relaxing at home.  We are looking forward to adding your baby to our family and sharing with them the joys of life.

My wife, Kaitlin

Kaitlin is a loving wife, devoted friend, adventurous spirit, hard worker, and a totally selfless person. She has a heart for serving others which truly shines in her work as an EMT at the local fire department. Kaitlin is the type of person that others go to for advice and wise counsel. She is someone you can count on to be there for you in any situation.

Kaitlin loves to be active and enjoys taking hikes, walking the dogs, planning her next outdoor adventure or figuring out how to get me to run another 5k with her. She is spontaneous and loves to take road trips and explore places she’s never been. Kaitlin has a deep love for music and looks forward to sharing that with our child.

My husband, Brian

Brian is so patient and kind and always has a twinkle in his eye when it comes to a good joke. Watching Brian work with kids at summer camp is what initially attracted me to his heart.

Brian loves to cook; trying out new recipes and barbecuing up tasty food. He makes a wonderful homemade pizza! Brian has a passion for teaching and working with young athletes and coaches’ football at the local high school. Camping, fishing and riding ATVs fill our summer weekends. When winter arrives, Brian likes to read, play board games and video games. Brian is excited to share his love of sports with our future child.

Our Oregon Home

Our home is a modest 3 bedroom house with a big backyard where our two dogs, Molly and Cooper, love to play fetch. Being on the edge of town, our backyard is against a wheat field with a beautiful view of the fields and hills. We enjoy growing vegetables, berries and eating summer dinners on the porch.

We live in a small and quiet town near where we both grew up. We love country living and being able to get away from the crowds while still being close enough to engage in social activities like evenings at the movies, shopping, sporting events, and concerts.

Our Faith, Family, and Friends

Brian is a pastor and has been in ministry for over 20 years where he has worked primarily with children and youth, currently serving as a Teaching Pastor. Kaitlin has been involved serving at church in a variety of ways since she was a teenager, doing everything from working summer camps to singing on the worship team. Our church family is an incredible encouragement to us.

Our immediate family members all live close by, and we love spending time together celebrating holidays, birthdays and other family events. They are all so excited for our adoption!

Your child will be loved and cared for by a great support system as they are nurtured in a Christ-centered loving environment.

Our Promise to You

We promise to love your child and provide them with a safe home to call their own. We are committed to providing a happy, warm environment where they can develop and learn. We promise to support them in their educational goals and to help them pursue their dreams. We promise to make many memories while celebrating holidays, taking family vacations, and playing in the back yard. We will share with them their adoption story early on and are open to keeping in touch with you through letters, photos, and visits.

Our Musical Interest

We both love all types of music. Attending concerts is one of our favorite past times, the louder the better! Kaitlin is very musical, playing both the guitar and piano, and singing. Brian has a musical background as well, having played the tenor sax from elementary school through high school, and off and on since.

We live in the state of OregonOregon is a beautiful state filled with many places to visit and explore. We love taking road trips around the state. We spend several weekends a year in Central Oregon, camping, riding ATV’s, fishing, and hiking in the mountains. We also love to visit the beautiful and rugged Oregon coast. Outdoor activities abound and we love to participate as often as possible! We have a full 4 seasons with varying activities in each. The summers are hot and dry with lots of lakes and rivers for cooling off. The winters are mild and rainy where we live but in less than an hour we can be on the mountain for some skiing or snowboarding. The spring time offers amazing sights as the trees and flowers bloom, while the fall dazzles with the changing colors of the leaves from green to yellow, orange and red.
