A Letter from Chip & Sarah
We are Chip & Sarah! Sunny Florida is where we call home. We spend as much time as possible outdoors going to the beach, hiking through parks, kayaking freshwater springs, golfing, playing tennis and barbecuing. We are excited to do these things as a family with your child. We would love to learn more about you and your dreams for your child. We are open to letters, pictures and visits. Whatever you are comfortable with!
We met while listening to live music. When Chip heard Sarah’s song request, he knew he had to meet her. We began dating and were married 2 1/2 years later. During our first 2 years of marriage we tried to start a family of our own, but due to infertility that was not possible. We are excited to now complete our family through adoption!
We love trying new things, exposing each other to new experiences, and growing and learning together. We enjoy cooking, being active outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends & family nearby. We both grew up playing sports and love watching sports. As we complete our family through adoption, we look forward to sharing these experiences with your child so they can discover their passions.
People are drawn to Chip because he is so easy to be around and is such a good guy. He cares about who people are and how they are doing. Chip’s favorite place in our house is the screened-in back porch where he can be found cheering for his favorite football teams while barbecuing on the grill or smoker. On Sundays, Chip’s son Noah joins us on the back porch for some great food from the grill. We love having this time together to catch up on our week.
Golfing is Chip’s favorite way to get exercise. Chip plays once a week and takes part in several charity golf tournaments throughout the year. He is excited to take our child to the driving range when they are old enough so he can teach them how to golf.
Sarah is one of the most selfless, caring and naturally maternal people that I know. Her love for traveling has taken her to Europe, Africa, Asia & South America. She enjoys learning about new cultures and is excited to share her passion for traveling with our child. She can be found on Saturday & Sunday mornings going for a long walk to enjoy all the beautiful colors as the sunrises. Her perfect Friday afternoon is listening to her favorite musician play at the beach just before watching the sunset. Our child will have many mornings exploring nature with Sarah and playing at the beach.
We have a 3 bedroom home in a gated neighborhood. Our family oriented suburban community has pools, playgrounds and a splash park within a 5-10 minute walk. Kids play soccer, football, baseball and other games on a green area near our home. We have a wonderful elementary school in our area and our neighborhood has fun traditions such as a water balloon/super soaker battle between kids & parents on last day of school at the bus stop, a Christmas Pre-Flight parade where Santa rides aboard a vintage fire truck through the neighborhoods and monthly Friday night kids’ movies on the lawn when the weather cools off. Tons of things to do for kids & families!
Sarah’s parents live an hour away and visit us several times a month. They are beyond excited to have a grandchild nearby since all their grandchildren live in California. Sarah’s nieces & nephews (ages 1-17) are very excited to have a new cousin to play with when we visit each other!
Chip’s mother and sisters live in New York & Virginia. They are very supportive of our journey to complete our family. Chip’s son, Noah, lives nearby and is currently attending college. He’s very excited to become a big brother and plans on visiting even more often to spend time with his new little sibling. Noah played in the band at school. and is excited to share his love of music with his new sibling.
We are so excited to become parents and welcome your child into our loving home. We promise to unconditionally love and cherish your child and will walk beside them, cheering them on, supporting them through each step of life’s adventures. We will help them develop into a confident, educated, loving, joyful, kind, brave, and good person. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing with you letters, pictures, and visits.

|More About Our Family|
|Our Special Interests|
We love traveling, being active outdoors, sports, music & giving back to our community through volunteering. All the things we look forward to sharing with our child. Each year we take a trip to explore a new place. We spend our weekends going for early morning walks, golfing, playing tennis and enjoying all that Florida has to offer outdoors. During football season we can be found cheering for our favorite college football & pro football (MN Vikings & NY Giants). Chip loves the NY Yankees so we go to a pre-season game each year. We enjoy listening to live music and there are many family-friendly restaurants in our community with live music. We volunteer through the church at a community center, participate in walks/runs, golf/tennis tournaments, habitat for humanity builds, and last summer we raised money for cancer research by hiking to the top of a mountain near Colorado.
Chip was raised Catholic and attended Catholic school. Sarah was raised Methodist (Christian). She was baptized and went through confirmation at Methodist churches. As an adult, Sarah attends a non-denominational Christian church.
|More About Sarah|
Our family and friends call her the "baby whisper" because of her ability to soothe the most temperamental tot. I know that your child will be loved unconditionally and with passion. Sarah will be an amazing mother!
|More About Chip|
Chip's easy to lean on when life gets tough because of his huge heart and calm steady voice of reason. He is my biggest cheerleader and my best friend. I have seen what a wonderful father he has been to Noah and I look forward to having him by my side as we raise a child together.
|Our Children||Chip has a 21-year-old son, Noah. Noah is currently working to get his college degree and lives near us. He visits us every week and is very excited to have a new little brother or sister. His passion includes music which he is excited to share with his sibling.|
|Holiday Traditions||On Christmas eve day, one tradition we have is hosting a “decorating cookies for Santa” get together with friends, their kids, and Sarah's godson. Sarah bakes the cookies and covers them in white frosting before everyone arrives. She has an assortment of squeezable frosting tubes, sprinkles, and decorations for the kids to use to create their cookie masterpieces. Each child usually saves one for Santa, but eat the rest themselves as soon as they make them. We are excited to include your child in this tradition!|
|Our Home & Neighborhood||We have a 3 bedroom home in a gated neighborhood. Our backyard is fenced in and we have left half of it unfinished so that we can create an outdoor play area. We picked this neighborhood because it is a wonderful place to raise children. The schools are top-notch, there are endless activities for kids to be involved in, very low crime, and tons of children to play with. Within 30 minutes we can be at the beach, explore 2 zoos, 2 aquariums, multiple children's museums, and amusement parks.|
